• Energise/Pran Prathistha rudraksha from a Brahmin pandit in a Shiv temple & then wear your energized rudrash for the first time immediately after its Pran Prathistha puja.
  • Before you wear your energized rudraksha bead/mala for the first time, follow the vidhi of saying the mantras as laid down in the scriptures.
  • 🙏🏼 Hereafter every time you remove or wear your rudraksha (after its puja) say an om-namah-shivah minimum of 3 times or 11 times.. manic jap is ok.
  • Rudraksha beads can be worn at all times and the scriptures do not mention any Taboo. Since it is an item of energy some people prefer to remove it during Sex, visits to funeral grounds, and bowel movements. This is however not compulsory and not mentioned in ancient texts.
  • After you come back from attending and participating in someone’s death funeral procession &/or visiting the cemetery or cremation ground, the 1st thing you should do is take a complete water bath. Make sure you wet your head & forehead & neck regions thoroughly with water and then wear rudraksha.
  • Make sure there is no rahu kaal & yamghat Kaal at the time of buying a new mukhi rudraksha bead/mala & the time of doing its Pran Prathistha puja & also at the time of wearing energized rudraksha bead/mala for the first time, do please refer to panchag.
  • Never touch Rudraksha with dirty hands.
  • Never touch Rudraksha with pointer fingers.
  • If at all by mistake you have touched ur rudraksha with dirty hands then pour some good amount of Ganga jal on the rudraksha & ask forgiveness from lord shiva & then touch the rudraksha to lord shiva’s photo or shivling & then wear it, it is good to keep Ganga jal 1 or 2 bottles handy at home.
  • Navratri, Shivaratri, Mahashivratri & eclipse are auspicious times to Dharan Rudraksha, there may be some more however I am not aware of them.
  • If for some reason u are not able to Dharan/wear your rudraksha then keep it in a small box at the puja place & offer daily namaskar with om-namah-shivah jap.
  • Sometimes mistakes may happen with rudraksha after all we are all humans however a person should remember not to repeat those same mistakes again.
  • Always buy rudraksha from your own money & not other people’s borrowed money, also same applies when u give Dakshina to pandit ji after rudraksha Pran Prathistha, the case if you do borrow money then make sure you return the amount which you used for purpose of rudraksha, also I feel that one should not bargain when buying rudraksha bead/mala.
  • Get ur rudraksha bead/mala re-energized thru its Pran Prathistha puja once every year at maha shivaratri or Shivratri.
  • It is suggested that you have a strong thread to place rudraksha in or use multiple strands of thread to make it strong so that the thread does not break off anytime & rudraksha does not fall to the ground.
  • Rudraksha beads or malas should not be exchanged or interchanged after you Dharan/wear it.
  • Read more about rudraksha to increase your knowledge of it however also make sure you don’t get confused by reading from too many different sources.
  • It is suggested that the brush that u use for cleaning rudraksha beads should be used only for 1-time use & then disposed of, every time use a new clean small brush.
  • There are various Amrit yog & Siddhi yog timings displayed in Jyotish magazines & panchang, if one wishes then one could follow these timings for rudraksha puja or wear rudraksha (for 1st time) during these times.
  • ALWAYS REMEMBER THE NUMBER OF BENEFITS YOU GET FROM YOUR RUDRAKSH WILL ALSO DEPENDS ON THE RESPECT & CARE  AMOUNT YOU SHOW TOWARDS YOUR RUDRAKSH BEAD. RUDRAKSH IS LORD SHIVA…

🙏🏼 OM NAMAH SHIVAH
